As an advertising major, there is much more that goes into coming up with a slogan for an advertisement.





What is the product? What makes is special? Who makes it? Why is it better than other products already available? Why should the consumer use this product (what will it ultimately do for them)?





Once you can answer these questions, then you can begin to come up with slogans or catchphrases. A headline should be short, sweet and attention grabbing, and the copy of an ad is where you educate the reader (consumer) about what/why/how.
