When u put on skin cream to decrease the appearance of scars, does that mean the scars remain?

I know they will be barely noticeable, or really really faded with continued massaging with the cream, and it will make it smoother, but the scars will still be there right? I mean, the skin isn't gonna be good as new right? The docs with well trained eyes will be able to tell where all the marks are right? Just curious. I see all these adds for skin care for scars and I wonder if the piercing will disappear, or just the mark of the piercing.





I also ask this because I do haVe some scars which are barely noticeable already. They're pretty old, n the marks have faded, but u can still tell they're there. A scar forms when a different type of cell repairs the skin. Normal skin cells can not repair a rupture in their structure (a cut a piercing etc); so these other cells are able to cross the gap %26amp; make the repair (like taping a rip in paper).
